It was April 22, 2002…
I was unmarried. No kiddos. Some semblance of hair on my head.
Few real responsibilities or true life experiences.
Lunch time most often included time with the sports section and a Whopper.
I entered the front doors of Jewelers Mutual in 2002 as an innocently naive young man with self-focused ambitions.
Since then, the people of Jewelers Mutual have truly been family. Some like close siblings. Others like distant cousins that you only faintly recognize, but still exchange genuine smiles. Some lost too early. Still others like wise grandparents.
Like any family, there’ve been a handful of relatives that I was never quite able to mesh with. A couple very special, influential, and loving parents. Some treasured nieces and nephews. And of course, a few crazy uncles that like to cut loose and talk smart over too many beers!
I’m a son raised by this entire awesome family. I’m the whole catastrophe – the good, the bad, and everything in between. Each member leaving a unique impression.
It’s now October 14, 2016…
I’m married to a wonderful, beautiful, successful woman. Attempting to be a parent and role model to a 1st grader and 5th grader. My head is bald.
I’ve survived. I’ve thrived. I’ve failed. I’ve recovered. I’ve learned. I’ve loved. I’ve lived.
Lunch time often includes a clarity inducing four-mile run and homemade sandwich.
Though I have a long ways to go, I’m quietly walking out the side door of 24 Jewelers Park Drive as a much better version of myself than when I arrived.
The most sincere thank you to my Jewelers Mutual family for patiently guiding, teaching, and shaping me over the last 14+ years. Thanks to you, this life chapter has not only created memories…it’s also created character.
While residing in the happiness of the present, I look back with priceless gratitude. I also gaze ahead with indescribable excitement due to the gift of character, shaped by a special family, that I’m blessed to carry to the next chapter.
Wishing you all heaps of happiness and success.
I’ll do my very best to make you proud 🙂
Enjoy today… God bless.
